Similar to the concept of widely popular Palace On wheels,in Rajasthan-this new luxury train offers traditional hospitality & you relive the lavish era of 18th century Peshwa Rulers. The 7 Nights train journey travesses across the beaches of Western India & Deccan plateau of Central India & you see glimpses of the brave exploits of near legendry 17th century Maratha Warrior King-Shivaji Maharaj.
The Weekly 7 Nights Luxury Train Deccan Odyssey tour (operational October to April) departs every WEDNESDAY from Bombay & recreates the glorious era of 18th century Peshwa rulers of Deccan India.

Wed : Day 1 : Depart from mumbai in the afternoon from World Heritage Site of CST Railway Station.(formerly called VT)
Thurs : Day 2 : Enjoy backwaters & beaches of Ganpatiphule.
Fri : Day 3 : Visit impressive sea-island fort of Sindhudurg & enjoy virgin Tarkarli backwaters.
Sat : Day 4 : Goa-internationally famous vacation spot for rich & famous.
Sun : Day 5 : Pune-Cultural museum & Gandhi memorial.
Mon : Day 6 : Aurangabad Fort & Ellora cave frescoes.
Tue : Day 7 : Ajanta cave frescoes & Nasik temples.
Wed : Day 8 : Morning arrival in Mumbai.
Due to local weather conditions,the train tour only operates from October to April. Though the full tour is for 7 Nights,you also have te option to book minimum three nights part tour viz.from Bombay to Goa. You may charter the Deccan Odyssey train Tour exclusively for your group also.
"The A/C Maharaja train offers combination of luxuriously furnished 43 twin/double bedded cabins,4 Suite Cabins,1 Cabin for physcically challenged.All Passenger Cabins have private attached toilets with shower cubicles & daily refurbished with 5 Star hotel quality toiletries.There are 2 Dining Cars,One Bar Saloon with smoking lounge area, Conference Area/recreation saloon with small Business Centre,Spa Saloon with mini-gym. Each passenger Saloon is serviced by a common attendant/ butler,who is available round the clock for personalised service."
"ACCOMMODATION"
There are 11 Deluxe Saloon Cars,each with combination of 4 A/C Deluxe Cabins with twin bedded beds & attached toilets. There are 2 Luxury Saloon Cars,each with 2 A/C Presidential Suites having combination of living room & bedroom having Double Bed with attached tolets.
All the cabins are equipeed with channel music,intercom, wall to wall carpeting & other amenities.

Special provision is available in form of wheel chairs,chreches & special attendant for manual assistance However,please inform us in advance for such special needs.
The tour cost Ex. Mumbai includes: stay,travel,meals,excursions costs,packaged water bottle,use of gymnasium,cultural program in Sawantwadi & Aurangabad. Additional Cost: tobacco,Beverages,video camera fee as applicable,Telephone calls & internet usage,laundry,usage of beauty parlour & health club etc..
The Deccan Odyssey criss-crosses the Deccan Plateau over 2400 km(1500 miles) in Eight days.You visit each destination of interest in the day time with guides & return to thetrain in the late afternoon to resume overnight train journey to next destination.
