Mandawa was founded by the Shekhawat's in 1755. The some desert area of "Mandawa Shekhawati Region is situated in the triangular mass of card between Delhi, Jaipur and Bikaner." This area is famous for painted Haveli's or mentors with beautiful frescoes today termed as an open air art gallery of Rajasthan.
